But if you are a complete beginner than if you wish you can read this . So If you know what is a website A website is a set of pages or you can say webpages that consists in a single domain name . So your domain name is actually the identity of your website . Lets say the domain name of this website is archive.h-educate.com . web hosting represents making your files, pages available online to access across any place in the world.(added by gok-26) And again this website is being hosted by a webhosting company . Lets say this website is a house . Now when you build a house you need to get a land right or else your house can be demolished by the land owner . So the domain name is the house and the land is the web hosting . Web Hosting company hosts your website in the internet for money or some for free .the hosting with your custom domain name you must pay for it, however, the free hosting is available but you won't have the option to choose your custom domain name, though you can choose your name which will be a sub-domain name and the main domain name will remain the hoster name. For example, if I choose to use makoye with a WordPress free plan it will be makoye.wordpress.com and not makoye.com(added by Makoye) Hope you understood this . Thanks .
