Just like Google, Yandex is a search engine used mostly by Russian audiences. You are highly recommended to add your website in Yandex Webmaster Tools and verify it. It will also be a good decision to submit your sitemap. All these will help you optimise your website for the Yandex search engine and get more traffic.

3- Enter the address of your Site

In the box under the site address section, type your website's. Make sure to add HTTP or HTTPS.

4- Confirm you own the domain rights.

Add Meta Tag in Head Section

 Adding a meta tag in the head section of your site is probably the most popular way to verify your domain. 

Just copy the HTML code and go to your dashboard. Go to your theme HTML and paste the code after the <head> tag.

 back to the Webmaster Tools account and click on “Check”.

 

HTML File Upload

This is another easy way to verify your domain. Follow these simple steps:

Click on the “HTML file” tab. 

Download the HTML verification file to your computer.

 Go to your site’s root directory and upload the file. 

Go back to the Webmaster Tools account and click on “Check”.

 Add Meta Tag in Head Section with Yoast SEO plugin (mainly for WordPress) 

If If you are using WordPress, install the Yoast SEO plugin and verify your domain by following these steps:

Open your WordPress Dashboard. 

go to SEO then Yoast SEO plugin setting. 

Click General and scroll to the Webmaster Tools tab box. 

Paste meta tag code in the box. Notice that only the numbers can be pasted here. 

Save the changes

Go back to the Webmaster Tools account and click on “Check”.

Whatever method you use to verify your domain, it will take up to 3 days for your domain to get verified so you can start to see reports.

How to add your website to Yandex Webmaster Tools
  1. Go to Yandex Webmaster Tools. Login, if needed.
  2. Click the plus sign button to add your website.
  3. Type your website's URL in the box.
  4. Click the yellow 'Add' button to continue.
  5. Copy the verification code. 
  6. Log in to your WordPress website.
  7. Click on 'SEO'.
  8. Click on 'General'.
  9. Click on the ‘Webmaster Tools’ tab
  10. Paste the code under ‘Yandex Webmaster Tools’.
  11. Click ‘ Save Changes’.
  12. Switch back to Yandex Webmaster Tools and click ‘Check’

You must have an account with Yandex in order to connect your site to Yandex Webmaster Tools. They require a phone number as part of the verification that you are a real human.

Go to Yandex Webmaster Tools Copy the code that is in the apostrophes after content part of the markup, as per the image below. Now you can use the dashboard tools to submit sitemap and robots.txt files. WordPress plugins Ask Yoast

This is how to Submit a Site To Yandex
  1. Go to Yandex Webmaster Tools and sign up if needed.
  2. Enter your website's URL in the box and click the 'Add' button.
  3. Go ahead and copy the meta tag.
  4. Paste into your Website's Dashboard → Site Settings → Code Injection → Before </head> field.
